High School Equivalency Now in Aurora

Students in the Aurora area will have a closer option if they are ready to finish their high school education. On February 12, BCCC started offering classes at the Hazel W. Guilford Memorial Library. These classes are free and run from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Finish up for your family. Finish up for yourself.

HSE students work at their own pace with the guidance of an instructor. The program provides a second chance to adults who did not complete high school in the traditional manner. Some of them left high school to join the workforce or start families. Students take the HiSET exam, a test designed to measure a person’s knowledge and skills in the areas of language arts, reasoning, social studies, science and mathematics.

Students who earn their HSE have a chance not only at higher wages, but a wider range of jobs. Contact 252-940-6298 or 252-940-6325 to get started.
