Auto Dealer License, Welding for Fun and Managing People



We have classes coming up to help you with your business or your art project. These classes are available through Beaufort County Community College’s Continuing Education Division. Auto Dealer License

For first time auto dealers, the course for initial licensure runs on March 13-14 from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. and costs $70.

For non-franchised auto dealers looking to retain their dealer’s license, an annual renewal course satisfies the continuing education requirement. It runs on Thursday, March 15 from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. and costs $70.

Hospitality Quilt

Debby Hodges will teach the skill of machine applique, and members of the class will produce their own 40” by 40” quilted wall hanging or table cover. The hospitality quilt contains four machine-appliqued pineapples, and it will be charming in the colors you choose. Those with beginning quilting skills will enjoy this $45 class. It runs Tuesday evenings from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. from March 13-17.

Welding for Fun

A perfect class for people who want to learn welding for art or home projects in a stress-free environment. The class will provide all the materials and safety equipment. Students learn basics of Mig, Tig and stick welding, and they will make an art project to keep. This $135 class takes place Saturday mornings from April 7-May 5.

Drone Pilot Training

This course covers the knowledge required to obtain a Part 107 Remote Pilot’s License. This license can help both commercial and government organizations who use unmanned aerial systems. Instruction includes aerial charts, flight restrictions, flight dynamics, weather and other factors concerning piloting unmanned aerial systems. The $70 course will take place at Warren Field on April 14 and 21.

Essentials of People Management

This training is beneficial to both new and seasoned managers and leaders within any organization. Pam Pippen of the Pippin Resource Group will use practical theory, interactive activities and stories to teach concepts including connecting with people, communication, managing conflict and other essential skills needed when working with others. This $250 class will take place on Tuesday, April 24.
