Flu Shot Clinic on Sept. 18
We will hold a flu shot clinic on Tuesday, September 18 from 12:00-4:00 p.m. in the Building 10 Multi-Purpose Room. If you are unable to attend this clinic, you may also receive a flu shot from your doctor’s office, participating health department, or from an in-network immunizing pharmacist. Please bring your Blue Cross Blue Shield NC/State Health Plan ID card and photo ID to get immunized at no cost.
You do not need to make an appointment, just come at your convenience.
There will be no out of pocket charge for BCCC employees or family members on State Health Plan and those whose primary coverage is Medicare Part B. If you have BCBSNC through the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), you may be also qualify for a free flu shot. Employees not on State Health Plan or BCBSNC can pay $30 to get immunized.
Students and the public may qualify for free immunizations, but should review their own insurance to see if this is the case.
Individuals whose primary health coverage is Medicare Part B must bring their Medicare Card and photo ID to receive the vaccine at no cost. Children under age four must receive shots from their primary care physician. Children between the ages of four and seventeen will require parental/guardian consent for immunizations. Everyone will be required to sign a consent form prior to receiving the vaccine.
