CPR/AED & First Aid

Continuing Education Healthcare Programs, in partnership with the Vidant Health Community Training Center, is a training site for the American Heart Associate and certifies students in BLS for Healthcare Providers and Heartsaver CPR/First Aid/AED.

Does your business, industry, or organization need a class offered? Courses are offered based on demand. If you or your business are interested in our College providing CPR or First Aid training at your location for employees, please fill out our Online Request Form and we will respond within 72 hours during the work week. A minimum of 4 participants are required and we can accommodate a maximum of 9 participants per course.

Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid (Initial)-- 4 hours
The Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid, CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult, child, and infant CPR and AED use. Prior to class, students must obtain the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED book, ($18.15), available in the BCCC bookstore. Participants will need to dress comfortably, as you will be down on the floor working with CPR manikins.

BLS CPR/First Aid for Health Care Providers--4 hours
Keep your professional credentials up-to-date.  This 4 hour recertification course is designed for individuals who need to renew their BLS CPR certification.  Additional costs:  CPR card $5.00 due at time of registration.  Course textbook available at BCCC bookstore at $15.75.
