Nurse Aide I Refresher
Nurse Aide I Refresher is an intensive and comprehensive review course. NA I Refresher is designed to prepare individuals previously listed on the NC Nurse Aide I Registry to be able to apply and take the NC Nurse Aide I examination. The following requirements to take NA I Refresher are listed below.
- An expired North Carolina Nurse Aide I listing with no substantiated findings or a successful completion of a North Carolina Nurse Aide I Program from an accredited institution within the last 3 years.
- Current Nurse Aide Registry approved health care credential from another state.
- Military personnel with medical/corpsman training>
Course content review of basic nursing and personal care skills, recognition of mental health and social service needs, cognitively impaired residents, basic restorative services, and resident's rights. The course will consist of 12 classroom hours and 30 Lab hours. There will be no clinical hours for this course. Upon successful completion of this course (required hours of attendance as well as passing exam scores) students are then eligible to apply for and take the North Carolina Nurse Aide 1 Competency Exam.
COST OF COURSE:
North Carolina Supplementary Packet.
Students will need a 1 or 1/12 inch 3-ring binder notebook for handouts and paper/pens/pencils for note taking.
