Medical Office Specialist
The Medical Office Specialist program will provide skills training in basic computer operations, medical terminology, medical law and ethics, medical office procedures, professional etiquette, grammar review and transcription editing, electronic health records, and medical coding. This is a fast-paced program that
will be offered in a hybrid setting with few seated classes; most class sessions will be held online, via BlackBoard. Students should have a valid email account prior to registering for this program. At the completion of the program, students will have the opportunity to register and sit for the Medical Administrative Assistant Certification (CMAA). The cost of the credential exam is $105 and is offered through the National HealthCareer Association (NHA). The first night
of class is a mandatory seated class.
