Welcome to the Arts and Sciences division at Beaufort Community College. This division is often referred to as the college transfer program as it prepares students to transfer to senior institutions. BCCC offers two college transfer programs, Associates in Arts and Associates in Science. These programs include two years of courses paralleling the freshman and sophomore years at most senior colleges and universities. By maintaining a 2.0 GPA and completing two years of a planned program of study, students will be able to transfer as juniors to most senior institutions without loss of credit or time. Also housed in the Arts and Sciences division is the Associate in General Education. This curriculum is designed for the academic enrichment of students who wish to broaden their education, with emphasis on personal interest, growth and development. This degree is not intended to transfer to four-year institutions.
Another exciting option is Agribusiness Technology. This curriculum is designed to prepare individuals for careers in the agribusiness segment of the agricultural industry. It provides an understanding of basic business concepts and principles as they relate to the agricultural industry. Graduates will qualify for a variety of jobs in agricultural businesses such as equipment, feed, and agricultural supply sales or store management. Other options include farm operations, and office management of agricultural products marketing firms. Depending on your goals, there is a fit for you at BCCC. Please contact a program lead instructor, the BCCC admissions office or myself for more information about starting one of our programs today!
