This ELA class instructs adults who are limited in English proficiency or whose primary language is not English. The program is designed to help adults improve their English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in order to further education or enhance employment opportunities. Classes range from beginning to advanced levels. Instruction to enhance transitioning to high school equivalency. ELA students are provided opportunities to dual-enroll in college, career, or job training opportunities. Scholarships are available to cover registration fees. Orientation is required for enrollment.
La adquisición del idioma inglés (ELA) son clases en linea diseñadas para adultos que desean aprender las habilidades del idioma inglés necesarias para funcionar de manera efectiva en un ambiente de habla inglés. También asistiendo a las clases de ELA, los estudiantes que están buscando hacer ciudadanía en los Estados Unidos estarán preparados para tomar el examen de naturalización. Es obligatorio asistir a la sesion de información sobre el proceso de inscripción.

What does it mean to become a citizen of the United States? What benefits and rights are enjoyed by citizens? What are the responsibilities of citizenship? These questions, and many others, will be answered in this preparatory course of how to take the U.S. Citizenship Test. This course will prepare you to take each section of the U.S. Citizenship Test and it will cover topics such as Civics, the U.S. Government, History, Geography, Reading, and Writing. It will also cover tips on how to study for the test and how to most effectively prepare yourself for the test.
