New Soaring Seagull Award recognizes determined students

Three students were recognized by the Student Services Division at Beaufort County Community College as Soaring Seagulls. This award recognizes students that have exhibited determination, drive and persistence.

Lea Argue, 25, is a nursing student who will graduate this spring. Argue currently works in the intensive care unit at Vidant Beaufort Hospital, and she intends to keep working as an ICU nurse. The Greenville resident attended Palm Beach Gardens High School.

Taylor Moore, 18, is a Career & College Promise student who will graduate from Washington High School and earn her Associate in Arts and Associate in Science this spring. The Washington resident plans to transfer to North Carolina State University to study psychology.

Jesse Sullivan, 28, is working toward an Associate in Arts and will graduate this spring. Sullivan plans to transfer to East Carolina University this fall to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. The Roper resident attended Creswell High School, and she is the daughter of Denise Wilcox and Randy McPherson.
