Upcoming Information Session About Homeschool High School Dual-Enrollment
Parents and guardians will have several opportunities to learn about Career & College Promise (CCP), Beaufort County Community College’s free dual-enrollment program for eligible rising juniors and seniors. CCP gives North Carolina high school students a head start on college or a career by allowing them to enroll in community college courses while still in high school.
Students in the College Transfer Pathways can prepare for a smooth transition to a four-year university, strengthening their university applications while continuing to participate in high school activities such as sports, music, student government, and clubs. They also gain access to college events and organizations. Students who successfully complete these courses earn transferable credits that count toward a college degree and fulfill high school graduation requirements.
The Technical Education Pathways allow students to earn credentials such as certificates, diplomas, or associate degrees in fields like Automotive Technology, Boat Manufacture & Service, Business Administration, Cosmetology, Information Technology, and Welding Technology.
For students in the Workforce Pathways, CCP provides industry-recognized credentials that can lead to higher-paying jobs immediately after high school. Available programs include Airplane Pilot, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Truck Driving, Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighting, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, Nurse Aide, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Operator, Registered Barber, Phlebotomy Technician, Pharmacy Technician, and Natural Haircare Specialist.
CCP offers high school students a unique opportunity to save on college costs, build their resumes, and get a jump-start on their futures.
