BCCC Will Dedicate Lecture Hall to Honor The Chapin Foundation on February 24

The Beaufort County Community College Foundation will dedicate a lecture hall in honor of The Chapin Foundation on February 24 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in acknowledgement of a generous donation from the foundation. The Chapin Foundation Lecture Hall is Room 127 in the Arts & Sciences Building (3).

The Howard Chapin Family members have been recognized educators in the public schools of North Carolina. Most of their professional work has been in Beaufort County. Their son, Michael, has continued the tradition by providing workshops or “schools” for law enforcement officers. The Chapin Foundation helps students who wish to continue their studies and fulfill their dreams for a four-year degree having more income, better living conditions, being active in the community, but above all else, there is personal satisfaction.
