  • High School Counselors will ensure students have met the above qualifications and then will check them as CTE eligible on the CCP BCCC application.
  • Students will complete a CCP BCCC application making sure they are entering as CCP CTE student. They must choose the appropriate pathway for the CTE class they are taking.
  • CTE students are not required to demonstrate college readiness, however some of the required courses within the program may have pre-requisites which must be met.
  • Students qualifying for CCP CTE pathways through a GPA waiver are not allowed to enter a CTE pathway that contains a Universal General Education Transfer Course (UGETC).

Career Technical Education Pathway (Freshmen and Sophomores)

  • May only enroll high school freshman or sophomore in Engineering and Industrial technologies or Agricultural pathways that do not contain a UGETC.

For high school Freshmen:

  • Have the recommendation of the high school principal and approval of BCCC's Chief Academic Officer

AND

  • Passed Math I with a grade of "C" or better, scored 3 or higher on the Math I EOC, and 3 or higher on EOG for 8th grade ELA
    OR
  • Have qualifying test scores
