The North Carolina Department of Revenue (DOR) is partnering with the Small Business Center Network across the North Carolina Community College System to offer free tax classes for small business owners. The workshops are intended to demystify taxes for business owners and help them plan appropriately for different taxes they must pay. While the classes are free, participants should register through the Small Business Center at Beaufort County Community College by contacting 252-940-6375.

The workshops address issues related to employees, sales and use, planning at the start of a new business, and online sales. A number of the classes are offered in Spanish.
