Provisional Broker (Pre-Licensing)
Credential: NC Real Estate License, NC Real Estate Commission
This 87-hour course is required to satisfy the educational requirements for a provisional broker license, and is designed to prepare you
to pass the North Carolina real estate license examination. Topics include basic real estate principles and practices, law and contracts,
financing, closing valuation, fair housing and real estate laws. The textbook, Modern Real Estate Practice in North Carolina 10th Edition (ISBN:
9781475486520), is available in the BCCC Bookstore and should be purchased prior to the starting date of class.
Prerequisite: High School Diploma or equivalency, NCRC of a silver or higher or college degree, subject to a criminal background check.

Contracts and Closing (Post-Licensing 302)
This 32-hour course is one of the three mandatory post-licensing courses that must be completed by the newly licensed North Carolina
provisional broker, within three years of obtaining licensure. This course will cover contract law, preparation and procedures, closing
preparation and procedures, RESPA and TRID, and other topics. The textbook, North Carolina Real Estate Manual (2021-2022 Edition), is
available for purchase on the NCREC website (
www.ncrecpubs.org/north-carolina-real-estate-manual-paper). Please bring your broker
identification card to the first day of class.
Prerequisite: North Carolina Provisional Broker License
General Update
This four-hour mandatory course satisfies one of the continuing education requirements for broker licensure renewal with the North Carolina
Real Estate Commission. The General Update course is developed by the NC Real Estate commission annually and course materials will be
provided. Please bring your pocket identification card to class.

This four-hour mandatory course satisfies one of the continuing education requirements for broker-in-charge licensure renewal with the
North Carolina Real Estate Commission. The Broker-in-Charge Update course is developed by the NC Real Estate commission annually and

Everyday Ethics in Real Estate (Elective)
This four-hour course satisfies one of the continuing education requirements for licensure renewal with the North Carolina Real Estate
