Credential: Notary Public, NC State Notary Public Section
This 7-hour course is required for persons seeking to be commissioned as a Notary Public for the State of North Carolina. Various topics
related to the duties of a Notary will be covered. Individuals should review the list of qualifications on the Secretary of State’s web site
located at:
https://www.sosnc.gov/notary/ prior to registering for class. Per NC Secretary of State Guidelines, students will have to pass an
exam to complete the class requirements. Students will be required to show a state issued photo ID and the North Carolina Notary Public
Manual upon entry to the class. This is a requirement from the Secretary of State’s office. The North Carolina Notary Public Manual (ISBN:
1560118512) is available in the BCCC Bookstore & should be purchased prior to the starting date of class.

E-Notary
Credential: E-Notary, NC State Notary Public Section
This 3-hour course is required for persons seeking to be commissioned as an Electronic Notary for the State of North Carolina. You must
currently be commissioned as a Notary Public to qualify for eNotary commissioning, and you must pass an exam to complete the class
requirements. Students will be required to show a state issued photo ID and the course materials will be provided.
